NDAA Training

Location: Virtual

The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is an annual law that Congress passes to authorize funding and establish policies for national defense. It covers things like: the Department of Defense (DOD), nuclear weapons programs at the Department of Energy (DOE), defense intelligence programs, and other defense activities of the federal government (e.g., military construction projects, homeland security programs).

The NDAA is one of the few laws that Congress almost always agrees on and passes every year. Because of that, it’s also a popular way for members of Congress to try to get other defense-related ideas or changes into law. The Chamberlain Network and Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC) are hosting an NDAA training to help you understand this legislative vehicle -- how the process unfolds and how you can make your voice heard.
