Veteran Leadership Development
Veterans are among the most trusted voices in American public life — and The Chamberlain Network mobilizes that trust to serve local communities and strengthen our democracy.
We identify veterans who are motivated to engage in civic life and give them the practical tools and training to lead in their communities.
Our leadership development programs move veterans from concern to action: equipping them to engage publicly on the issues central to democracy, and focusing their efforts where it matters most — in their own communities.
Our programs include ongoing monthly calls, national convenings, and a year-long fellowship that keep leaders connected and prepared to respond as civic developments unfold. We prepare veterans to participate in public conversations, engage media and legislators, and show up visibly in communities across the country — because durable democratic renewal depends on local leadership.
01
Civic Engagement Fellowship
TCN Fellows translate ideas into sustained, community-level civic action. Each project connects to at least one of TCN's pillars and is grounded in the specific challenges of their communities.
02
Civic Leadership Convenings
These convenings bring veterans together to discuss, plan, and build — creating a forum where ideas, strategies, and local knowledge converge.
Three days, in person, built for veterans ready to step up in their communities. Each cohort develops locally focused civic initiatives, sharpens skills in storytelling, media engagement, and community organizing, and builds the peer networks that sustain long-term action.
